PLANNING OFFICER II

Duties and Responsibilities

A. ASSOCIATION PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT

  • Plan, prepare, and implement the Association’s programme work plans and budgets;
  • Supervise the day-to-day implementation of Association programmes to ensure they are carried out as planned;
  • Ensure Association resources are utilized in accordance with approved plans;
  • Monitor programme implementation to ensure the achievement of established objectives;
  • Identify and resolve challenges arising during programme implementation;
  • Coordinate communication among various Association stakeholders;
  • Prepare programme progress reports and submit them to the Secretary of the Association;
  • Perform daily operational and administrative duties as assigned by the Secretary;
  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Secretary of the Association.

B. ASSOCIATION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Coordinate project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;
  • Prepare project proposals, budgets, and funding applications;
  • Supervise project activities in accordance with approved work plans;
  • Prepare project progress reports and submit them to the Secretary of the Association;
  • Collect information for the preparation of plans and budgets and participate in their development;
  • Manage relationships with development partners and Association stakeholders;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Secretary.

Qualifications

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields: Planning, Investment Planning and Financial Development, Human Resource Management Planning, Economics, Statistics, Project Management, or Business Administration;
  • At least two (2) years of experience in project and budget management;
  • Ability to prepare project proposals and documentation;
  • Proficiency in ICT, computer applications, and modern project management systems;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) will be an added advantage.
