Job Summary
The Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments, movement disorders, and functional limitations. The role focuses on restoring mobility, reducing pain, preventing disability, and improving overall physical function through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, strength, and range of motion.
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and electrotherapy modalities.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture, and self-management techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Use assistive devices and equipment to support rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health staff.
- Document assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.
- Provide pre- and post-operative rehabilitation care.
- Conduct home visits or community-based rehabilitation when required.
- Supervise physiotherapy assistants and students.
- Participate in health promotion and injury prevention programs.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe therapy environment.
- Engage in continuing professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy / Physical Therapy.
- Licensure: Valid registration with [National/State Physiotherapy Board].
- Certifications: BLS preferred; specialty certifications (sports, orthopaedics, neuro, paediatric) an advantage.
- Experience: [1–3] years of clinical experience preferred.
- Skills: Manual therapy, exercise prescription, patient education, communication, and empathy.
