Job Summary

The Physician is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses and injuries in adult patients. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, development of treatment plans, coordination of care, and promotion of overall health and wellness. The Physician may also supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs, etc.).
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Provide preventive care, health screenings, and immunizations.
  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Manage medical emergencies and stabilize critically ill patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call rotations.
  • Supervise and mentor interns, residents, and medical students.
  • Engage in continuing medical education and clinical audits.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or MBBS/MBChB.
  • Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in [State/Country].
  • Certifications: Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred; BLS and ACLS required.
  • Experience: [2–5] years of clinical experience.
  • Skills: Diagnostic reasoning, communication, empathy, leadership, and teamwork.
