Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Storekeeper will oversee the receiving, safe storage, inventory tracking, and controlled distribution of medical and pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining strict storage standards.

Stock Control & Storage:

Inspect, receive, and organize incoming pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and health products systematically in the store. Tanzania employment trends

Inventory Tracking:

Record and update physical and digital logs for stock levels, stock issues, and department requisitions.

Expiry Management:

Enforce First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) protocols and systematically identify and segregate damaged or expired stock.

Reordering Support:

Track minimum stock levels and alert management to low-inventory items to avoid stockouts.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the store facility clean, secure, well-organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Minimum of Form IV (CSEE) Certificate.

Certificates or Diplomas in Pharmacy, Storekeeping, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management are an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of practical experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse handling.

Technical Skills:

Basic computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel).

Core Competencies:

Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, reliability, and clear communication abilities.
