Africa Relief and Community Development (ARCD) is seeking an Orphan and Student Sponsorship Coordinator to oversee and manage its sponsorship programs in Tanzania This position plays a critical role in ensuring program efficiency, resolving challenges, and maintaining compliance with standards of care, while also working to expand ARCD’s sponsorship initiatives in the region. Reporting to the Program Director, the Coordinator will also collaborate with the Donor Relations Team to maintain sponsor engagement through regular updates on sponsored individuals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure program activities align with approved timelines and budgets.
- Regularly audit and request documentation on sponsored orphans and students.
- Investigate and document changes in sponsorship status, including recommendations for action.
- Research and apply best practices in orphan and student care.
- Develop and manage agreements with local partners for enrolling children and maintaining programs.
- Support partners through workshops, training, and guidance on program implementation.
- Produce detailed periodic reports on program impact and financial accountability.
- Share success stories and case studies to highlight program impact.
- Attend weekly program meetings and provide program updates.
- Manage internal processes to ensure compliance, integrity, and timely service delivery.
- Work closely with donors, providing updates on their sponsored children’s progress.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit program coordination or management.
- Previous experience with Muslim-based charities is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with partners, donors, and team members
