Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Operations Officer – Transport & Logistics to support our safari operations. This role involves coordinating park permits, vehicle scheduling, and general logistics support to ensure smooth execution of safari itineraries. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, flexible, and eager to contribute to a collaborative operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Park Permit Coordination:
- Assist in planning and processing park entry permits (TANAPA, NCAA, KINAPA, WMA).
- Keep accurate records of permits and payment receipts.
- Ensure permits match safari itineraries and are ready on time.
- Follow up with park authorities on procedures and fee updates.
Transport & Vehicle Scheduling:
- Help assign safari vehicles and schedule drivers/guides.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness, fuel usage, and maintenance needs.
- Keep track of vehicle logs and basic service records.
Safari Support:
- Provide logistical support for last-minute itinerary changes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers as needed.
- Maintain contact with field teams to support smooth daily operations.
Client Safety & Preparedness:
- Assist in resolving basic operational issues to support the guest experience.
- Report potential risks or disruptions to the Operations Manager.
- Be available to support team responses during emergencies.
- Maintain updated logs and checklists for fleet and park permits.
- Assist in preparing simple operational reports.
- Support cost tracking and budgeting with timely updates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in tourism or transport operations.
- Familiarity with Tanzanian park permit systems (TANAPA, NCAA, WMA) is an asset.
- Good computer skills (MS Office required; fleet software is a bonus).
- Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays.
- A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.

Working Hours:
The standard working schedule is 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and half-day on Saturdays.
