Job purpose:
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Network Infrastructure System Administrator shall plan, implement, and secure the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and protection against cyber threats, in line with business and compliance goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Monitor performance and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Apply and manage network security protocols and tools.
- Maintain hardware, update firmware, and document configurations.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and latency issues.
- Work with vendors to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Provide user support and enforce IT security policies.
- Enforce cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Monitor for network vulnerabilities and breaches.
- Align practices with ISO 27001, NIST, or local standards.
- Support audits and maintain incident logs and remediation records.
- Meet SLAs for uptime and response times.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure service levels.
- Track and report on security and performance metrics.
- Provide proactive maintenance and user support.
- Any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network or cybersecurity roles.
- Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Security+, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
- Skilled in networking protocols, firewalls, VLANs, and security tools.
