HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will be responsible for designing and maintaining M&E systems, including data collection tools, indicators, and reporting frameworks. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will manage data collection, verification, and analysis in coordination with project staff at field sites, ensuring accurate tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).

RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • Lead the development and implementation of M&E systems for all projects, establishing baselines and creating data collection tools (checklists, forms, questionnaires).
  • Conduct field visits to ensure data quality, document lessons learned and provide ongoing support to project staff.
  • Support project workplan development and implementation, addressing challenges related to project execution in alignment with monitoring plans.
  • Track project KPIs and update the Impact Management workbook quarterly.
  • Collaborate with the Impact Manager to develop a quarterly newsletter highlighting major organization’s pillar achievements.
  • Create and manage organization’s social media presence, developing content, monitoring analytics, and collaborating with teams to ensure consistent messaging and visibility.
  • Document field success stories and lessons learned, sharing them with management and stakeholders for wider dissemination.
  • Manage all M&E documentation electronically and in hard copy for easy access by team members.
  • Contribute to the development of organization progress reports for donors by gathering and analyzing data, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely reporting of project activities. Design visually engaging data presentations (graphs, charts, infographics) to effectively communicate project impact and align with donor requirements.
  • Lead M&E initiatives across organization’s projects, ensuring quality data, tracking activity progress, and supporting staff capacity-building efforts.
  • Train and orient project team members on the use of M&E tools and systems, and provide ongoing support to ensure consistent and effective use in data collection, reporting, and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Programme and Project Management or Monitoring and Evaluation or any other related field. A Master’s Degree in any of the above fields is an added advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in data collection and in supporting Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of programs within the wildlife conservation sector.
  • Strong analytical skills including analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data and strong experience in use of information management systems.
  • Knowledge in Computer programs, M&E tools and databases.
