The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (KKKT) – Northern Diocese is a religious institution that owns and operates various KKKT and Diocesan institutions including a hotel. To strengthen the management of its institutions, the Diocese announces the vacancy for Meneja wa Lutheran Uhuru Hotel and Conference Center.

Purpose of the Position

To manage the overall operations of the hotel with professionalism, responsibility, and high competence; ensuring excellent services to guests, good resource management, increasing hotel revenue, while protecting Christian values and the foundational principles of KKKT in all hotel activities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The Manager will be fully responsible for:

  • Daily management of the hotel
  • Management of security and safety of people and hotel property
  • Management of revenue, expenses, and preparation of performance reports
  • Ensuring quality of guest services in good relationship with stakeholders
  • Promotion and participation in hotel services while observing the principles of the Church and national laws

Qualifications Required

Applicants must:

  • Hold a first degree in hotel management, tourism, administration and business, hotel sector management, marketing and finance or related field from a recognized institution accredited by TCU or appropriate body.
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience in hotel leadership and management.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, planning, and task supervision skills.
  • Have experience in using digital systems for service delivery and general technology.
  • Have experience in tourism marketing related to mountain climbing, as well as domestic and international tourism safaris.
  • Have experience in financial management including budgeting, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
  • Be proficient in computer use for data entry and social media networking.
  • Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and conduct consistent with the Christian principles of the Diocese.

Preferred age: 35–55 years.

Salary and Benefits

Salary and other benefits will be provided in accordance with the Staff Development Structure of the Northern Diocese.
