Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd is seeking to fill two Mechanic positions. This is a Youth Employment opportunity.
Responsibilities or duties
- Maintain and ensure that company vehicles, machinery, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out regular inspections to identify and correct mechanical faults.
- Assist in improving the company's operations by ensuring equipment has minimal downtime.
- Provide technical advice regarding proper maintenance and servicing of machinery.
- Carry out inspections and repairs of vehicles, machines, and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Perform maintenance and repairs, including replacement and adjustment of faulty parts.
- Prepare maintenance and repair reports for supervisors.
- Ensure equipment is maintained properly and safely.
- Carry out work in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
- Work together with other employees in repairing and maintaining equipment.
Qualifications or requirements
- Valid driving licence, if applicable, with a certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Trade.
- Knowledge of identifying and repairing mechanical faults effectively.
- Ability to use tools and equipment safely.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and machine instructions.
- Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment.
