Background
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanic Agri Machinery responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining agricultural equipment to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers, and other agricultural equipment.
- Inspect machinery and identify worn or defective parts requiring replacement.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical system issues.
- Perform equipment testing after repairs to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
- Support field service activities and provide technical assistance to customers when required.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Coordinate with service advisors and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repair work.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Experience working with tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and service documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic tools will be an added advantage.
- Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
