MLOps & Data Platform Engineer (Woman or Man)

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science / Data / Cloud Computing or related field
• 3+ years in a DevOps, MLOps or Cloud/Data Platform engineering role
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, tooling and pipeline development
• Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) in on-premises or hybrid environments – including query optimisation, scripted migrations and pipeline integration
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Athena, EC2/ECS)
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC tooling
• Comfortable with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar)

Your Challenges

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and ML model deployments across environments
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Athena, RDS) using infrastructures-as-code principles
• Containerize and deploy ML models using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring reliability and scalability
• Implement monitoring, alerting and self-healing mechanisms for data pipelines and model inference services
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to streamline the path from experimentation to production
• Manage Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning and enforce cloud cost discipline
• Support data platform reliability across Tanzania, Madagascar, Senegal, Togo and Comoros
