Position: Logistics Manager
Industry: Beverage Distribution / Supply Chain & Transport
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Job Type: Full-time
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the overall transportation and distribution of products.
- Plan fleet schedules, vehicle allocations, and delivery routes.
- Supervise drivers, turnboys, and logistics operational personnel.
- Track fuel consumption, transit efficiency, and transportation costs.
- Oversee cargo loading and unloading operations to prevent product damage.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and fleet safety compliance.
- Prepare and present periodic operational reports on logistics performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years or more of practical experience in logistics and fleet/transport management.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Tally.
- Competencies: Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication abilities; capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
