Invitation For Expression of Interest-Prequalification of Contractors for Provision of Underground Drilling Services for Escape Ways, Ventilation Shafts, Paste Fill and Cap Holes tender at Anglo gold Ashanti

Geita Gold Mining Limited (The Company), a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) is in north-western Tanzania, in the Lake Victoria goldfields of the Geita region, about 5 km from Geita town.

The Company is in the process of pre-qualifying Contractors for Provision of Underground Drilling Services for Escape Ways, Ventilation Shafts, Paste Fill and Cap Holes for the period 2026 to 2028 and is, therefore, inviting eligible and interested applicants to submit expressions of interest as detailed below.

NB: THE DOCUMENTS REQUESTED BELOW MUST BE SUBMITTED WHEN EXPRESSING INTEREST IN THIS WORK. SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE SUBJECTED TO THE ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI VETTING PROCESS.

DESCRIPTION: PROVISION OF UNDERGROUND DRILLING SERVICES FOR ESCAPE WAYS, VENTILATION SHAFTS, PASTE FILL AND CAP HOLES FOR THE PERIOD 2026 TO 2028

1.1 Information Required:

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

COMMERCIAL

• Company Profile and Updated Organogram
• Company Code of Conduct and Ethics
• Current Business Licenses
• NSSF Compliance Certificate
• Certificate of Incorporation, the most recent BRELA Search, and the latest BRELA Application of Annual Return.
• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), TIN Certificate and VAT Registration Certificate
• Company Memorandum and Article of Association
• Compliance with Mining Act-Approved Local Content Plan.

FINANCIAL POSITION AND TERMS OF TRADE

• Applicant's Audited Financial Statements for the last three (3) years.
• Bank Statements of the Applicant's active bank accounts for the past 6 months

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

• OSHA Compliance Certificate
• Environmental Compliance Certificate
• Workers' Compensation Fund Certificate
• Safety and Environmental Policy

OTHER POLICIES

• Gifts/Hospitality/Sponsorship Policy/Procedure
• Policies/Procedures dealing with Forced and Child Labor
• Policies/Procedures dealing with Abuse, Discrimination and Harassment

• Human Rights Policy/Procedure/Programme

PAST EXPERIENCE

• Provide at least 3 recommendation letters from different clients
• At least 3 clients on similar arrangement for the past two years

TECHNICAL CRITERIA (GGME02079)

• Provide capability statements including detailed description for provision of each drilling type and capability statement for provision of drilling services
• Provide detailed asset register and proof of ownership for drill rigs and support equipment (hiring is not acceptable) to provide the Services, including but not limited to:
  • Suitable drill rigs to execute the Services.
  • Suitable support equipment to execute the Services.
  • Suitable light truck and light vehicle fleet
  • Suitable lighting plants for lighting surface nightshift and underground drilling
  • Lowbed truck and trailer for moving drilling equipment around the site
• Provide a proposed organizational structure/organogram to support the Services, including provision of curriculum vitae and relevant educational and training certificates for key roles such as:
  • Project Manager
  • HSE personnel
  • Supervisors
  • Drillers
  • Mechanics
  • Electricians
• Equipment maintenance strategy, inclusive of equipment age and history, refurbishment, component life tracking and change-out strategy
• Fuel management strategy addressing distribution, security of fuel and reconciliation of fuel burn per equipment type.

IV. Interested applicants must submit their expression Letters of Interest (“LOI”) by quoting GGME02079 – PROVISION OF UNDERGROUND DRILLING SERVICES FOR ESCAPE WAYS, VENTILATION SHAFTS, PASTE FILL AND CAP HOLES FOR THE PERIOD 2026 TO 2028 on the subject of the email together with supporting information to the Company, which states the full name, address, telephone, and e-mail address of the Company, name of the principal contact, and signed by an authorized representative.

All LOIs and supporting documentation (in PDF format) must be received by the Company Office via e-mail at geita.eoi@aga.gold without copying any individual from the Company. Submissions must not be later than 8.30 AM on 15 December 2025. (the “LOI” Submission Deadline). EOI submissions must not exceed 150MB per email. In case the size of the email exceeds 150MB, applicants must split the submissions into multiple emails.

Shortlisted Candidates will be notified within forty-five (45) calendar days from the submission deadline. Candidates not contacted within the forty-five (45) calendar days should consider themselves unsuccessful.
