The Intern Business Development Officer will support business development activities focused on loan acquisition and customer growth. The position involves working directly with potential and existing customers and participating in field-based sales activities.
The successful candidate will also help monitor assigned loan portfolios, provide information about loan products and contribute market insights that can improve business performance and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential loan opportunities.
- Convert high-potential loan opportunities to help achieve monthly business targets.
- Maintain a 100% collection rate on assigned loans.
- Conduct field sales activities.
- Visit dealers, marketplaces and other potential customer locations to generate leads.
- Educate clients about available loan products.
- Explain loan repayment terms to prospective customers.
- Explain eligibility requirements to clients.
- Monitor assigned loan portfolio performance.
- Support effective loan portfolio management.
- Help maintain strong portfolio quality.
- Provide market insights to improve business performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide customer insights to support better customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, sales or relationship management within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of car loans or similar financial products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer trust.
- Ability to work in a field-based sales environment.
- Ability to work toward business targets.
