Key Responsibilities

1. User Support & Client Service – 30%

Activities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day technical support to end users.
  • Travel regularly to field offices to offer ICT support.
  • Respond to Level 1 & 2 support via phone, email, and remote tools.
  • Log all support requests into the ServiceNow system.
  • Provide courteous and professional interaction with clients.
  • Provide application user-access services.
  • Support development and achievement of service-level objectives.
  • Conduct ICT clinics and knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Prepare computer setups for new staff and office relocations.
  • Request and create new user and email accounts (with Systems Administrator).

2. ICT Systems Deployment & Maintenance – 25%

Activities

  • Participate in deployment and upgrades of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Configure and install PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, etc.
  • Deploy new or upgraded images and software.
  • Support video-conferencing equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
  • Provide temporary solutions until permanent fixes are implemented.

3. Compliance, Data Protection & Backup – 5%

Activities

  • Ensure adherence to ICT controls, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Review operational processes for compliance.
  • Train users on ICT security policies.
  • Clean infected equipment in case of malware/virus incidents.
  • Maintain data logs and software installations as per policies.

4. Network Administration – 25%

Activities

  • Monitor network to ensure functionality and availability.
  • Configure network devices: routers, switches, Cisco Meraki, etc.
  • Lead installation, upgrading, and maintenance of LAN infrastructure.
  • Install and troubleshoot cabled and wireless network systems.
  • Coordinate with ISPs to enforce SLAs, report outages, and secure rebates.
  • Support mobile devices and productivity tools (Skype, WebEx, etc.).

5. Performance Monitoring & Documentation – 10%

Qualifications

Required Professional Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in networking/telecommunications.
  • ITIL Certification (preferred).

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wireless networks, LAN/WAN architectures.
  • Excellent understanding of Internet technologies, TCP/IP, routing, and security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS configuration and administration.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
