KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Under the overall guidance and technical supervision of the Head of the TEC division, the IT Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Record, classify, and track all TEC support requests and incidents.
  • Update ticket details with troubleshooting steps and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Follow up to ensure timely closure.
  • Provide first-line TEC support to staff.
  • Troubleshoot issues with PCs, printers, Wi-Fi, and Office 365.
  • Support conference room TEC setups, including Teams conferencing.
  • Assist in onboarding/offboarding staff.
  • Assist with installation and configuration of TEC equipment.
  • Support network issues including LAN, Wi-Fi and VPN.
  • Provide remote TEC support to Kigoma, Arusha and Mtwara.
  • Assist with preparing TEC equipment for dispatch to the sub-offices.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

  • University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.

Competency:

  • Client-oriented, teamwork, adaptability and integrity.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic understanding of hardware, networking, and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and good communication skills.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English Language.
