Background
Hannah Bennie School (HBS) was established to provide children in Kigamboni with access to high-quality English-medium education close to home. Through its commitment to academic excellence and organizational effectiveness, the school continues to invest in talented professionals who support both educational and administrative functions.
As part of its continued growth, HBS is seeking a dedicated and organized Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The successful candidate will contribute to recruitment, employee engagement, record management, and other HR functions that help create a positive and productive workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding processes
- Support employee engagement initiatives and general HR operations
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Coordinate staff training, professional development, and capacity-building programs
- Support performance appraisal processes and disciplinary procedures
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the HR department
- Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and procedures
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
- At least two years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and HR/payroll systems
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
