Lutheran Uhuru Hotel and Conference center is seeking a Hotel Manager.
Responsibilities or duties
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
- Managing human resources and maintaining employee discipline.
- Managing hotel revenue and expenditure and preparing regular operational reports.
- Ensuring high-quality guest services and maintaining good relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing strategies to grow the hotel's business and increase revenue.
- Ensuring efficient utilization and proper management of hotel resources.
- Ensuring that hotel operations comply with the principles of the Church, applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications or requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a government-recognized institution.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Have experience in the use of digital service-delivery systems and technology.
- Have experience in tourism marketing, particularly in mountain climbing tourism, as well as domestic and international tourism.
- Be proficient in computer applications, data-entry programs, and social media platforms.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity, honesty, professionalism, and conduct consistent with Christian principles.
Experience needed
Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in hotel leadership and management or in a similar hospitality or service-oriented institution.
Have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and the management of human and financial resources.
Applicants aged 35-55 years are preferred.
