General Responsibilities

  • To develop and lead the Service Centre business through direct sales from service centers and retail showrooms, driving top-line growth and net profitability.
  • To manage working capital efficiently while optimizing returns and overseeing both operational and capital expenditures (Opex and Capex) across all centers.
  • To oversee controls on inventory, finance, costs, human resources, and administration of service centers and showrooms.
  • To ensure smooth production operations across all centers, maintaining quality, machine maintenance, and compliance with EHS standards.
  • To ensure inventory accuracy by reconciling physical stock with SAP records regularly.
  • To collaborate with the marketing department to conceptualize, plan, execute, and evaluate marketing strategies supporting the retail business.
  • To provide marketing support for below-the-line activities, including promotions, schemes, exhibitions, industry meetings, technical seminars, and market conversion programs through service centers.
  • To ensure a consistent look and feel across service centers and showrooms, enhancing customer experience and upgrading touchpoints as per evolving requirements.
  • To develop and expand the trading portfolio of products marketed through the service centers.
  • To cross-sell and up-sell related group company products like steel long products, lightweight trusses, and Safbuild through the service centers.
  • To build stronger customer engagement through direct marketing, digital campaigns, and physical touchpoints, including retail showrooms and service centers

Budgetary responsibility:

To submit inputs for the annual Business Planning Process (BPP) and monitor the implementation of the function’s budget, ensuring the achievement of volume, contribution, and EBIT targets for Service Centers and Showrooms.

Procurement responsibility:

To work collaboratively with the Supply Chain/Procurement department by originating and supporting the function’s requirement specifications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail operations, service center management, or sales leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service standards and retail performance management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, KPIs, and operational reports to drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/retail systems and MS Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, inventory control, and operational procedures.
