JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
Perform welding repairs on Shredder hammer.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Refurbish shredder hammers as per specification.
- Perform standard welding as per procedures to bring about a good product to sustain the job purpose.
- Use proper weld technique to ensure the hammers last longer (Hard facing).
- Perform all tasks with “awareness” towards the prevention of any forms of pollution to the surroundings and environment.
- Perform daily inspection of welding machine and cables to make sure they are in safe operating condition.
- Provide significant support during breakdown and planned maintenance.
- Proper control of welding machine, welding cables and welding rods.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by what you do or do not do.
- Adhere to Kilombero safety standards.
Job Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum qualification, Test grade III in welding or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the relevant SOPs to welding.
- Ability to perform welding.
- Understands the lockout procedures around his area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment.
- Maintains good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
- Proven competence to Ferrous welding, nonferrous Welding, Gas and arc welding, read mechanical sketches, Safety gears, Apply welding tools and equipment, Stainless welding, Weld in all position.
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent contract.

Experience in Months: 48
Level of Education: bachelor degree
