ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Primary Responsibility:

  • To carry out the day-to-day operations of HSSEQ and training department and contribute to the application of effective health, safety, security, environmental and quality management systems by providing technical support including:
  • Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards
  • Assist in internal compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety and security evaluations. Manage HSSEQ programs, policies, procedures, and ensure up-to-date documentation and record-keeping. Conduct regular HSSEQ inspections and audits, identifying non-conformities and following up on corrective actions.
  • Participate in incident investigations and perform root cause analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and action tracking.
  • Promote incident prevention strategies to protect employees, company assets, and the environment.
  • Assist in the design, development, and delivery of HSSEQ-related training, including emergency response and security awareness.
  • Maintain proactive communication and relationships with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee site-specific waste management operations and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of business continuity plans and contribute to emergency preparedness.
  • Regularly travel to operational sites and field locations to provide HSSEQ oversight, conduct trainings, and support inspections.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years working experience (5+ experience in QHSE, 3+ experience in logistics and lifting operations)
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field - Essential
  • NEBOSH / SAMTRAC equivalent certified - Preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Integrated Management System | ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001 – preferred.
  • Auditing Experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001 - preferred.
  • Approved Trainer Assessor
  • Defensive Driving Experience / Certification
