JOB DETAILS:
- Description: The Gender Officer will support UNDP Tanzania’s Gender Equality Strategy, integrating gender equality and women’s empowerment across programs and portfolios. Responsibilities include coordinating the gender focal team, resource mobilization, and policy advocacy over an 18-month assignment.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in gender equality, women’s empowerment, sociology, social sciences, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in gender equality strategy implementation with UN or international organizations.
- Fluency in English; excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Open to former Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JICA-JOCV) only, recommended by the JICA-JOCV Secretariat.
