FINANCE MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, efficient financial management and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and sustainability.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA (T), CIMA, or equivalent is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience in a similar position (MANDATORY).
• Strong knowledge and experience in tax clearance, statutory compliance (TRA, NSSF, WCF, etc.).
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Excellent understanding of Tanzanian tax laws, accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, reporting and cash flow management.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annual).
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, SDL, NSSF, WCF and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure tax clearance certificates are obtained on time.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management.
• Strengthen internal controls and risk management.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, TRA and other regulatory bodies.
• Lead, mentor and supervise the finance team.
• Support management in strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
