Iringa Hope, an International Non-Governmental Organization, operates programs in the Northern highlands of Tanzania, specifically in the regions of Iringa and Njombe, with its headquarters in Iringa. Using a unique approach, Iringa Hope provides agricultural financing, marketing, and training to smallholder farmers in Tanzania. Our goal is to alleviate poverty by empowering smallholder farmers and entrepreneurs. To further our mission, Iringa Hope is seeking applications from qualified individuals for two positions based in Iringa. Responsibilities or duties
- Develop and expand market reach for fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and other agricultural products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agro-dealers, and other stakeholders
- Educate/Train farmers on the selection, benefits, proper use, and application of inputs through existing Farmers’ Information Centers.
- Identify local market needs, preferences, and trends for crops and agricultural inputs.
- Keep detailed records of inputs sales activities, clients’ feedback, and market insights.
- Conduct regular field visits to farmers and provide guidance on proper crop management practices, including pest and disease management and correct input application.
- Collect farmers’ feedback on crops, inputs and farm yield performance for each season.
- Facilitate farmers’ trainings, soil sample collection, soil testing, results dissemination and recommendations for improved soil fertility management.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Diploma in Agriculture or Crop Production, Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture General, Horticulture, or Agronomy from a recognized institution.
Experience needed
At least 2 years of relevant experience in input sales and marketing, farmers’ engagement and training on agricultural inputs, crop production, and agronomic practices
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Must have a valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively to remote areas
Certification from agricultural inputs regulatory authorities is an added advantage.

- Knowledge of agricultural inputs, crop production, and agronomic practices
