Role purpose:
The FTTX Manager is responsible for the commercial ownership and lifecycle management of the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) portfolio. The role drives product growth, pricing strategy, CXX, sales performance & commission reporting, customer retention, and market competitiveness.
The position acts as the focal point between Commercial, Sales, Operations, Customer Operations (COPS), Finance, IT, and Network teams to continuously enhance the FTTH customer journey and product proposition.
Responsibilities or duties:
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Own the end-to-end FTTH product portfolio, roadmap, and lifecycle, including launches, enhancements, migrations, and product retirement.
- Define and execute product enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Identify opportunities for new FTTH products, bundles, and value-added services.
- Manage pricing governance and approval processes, and analyse acquisition, churn, revenue, and customer growth trends.
- Act as the Commercial representative for all FTTH after-sales activities and ensure seamless collaboration with Customer Operations (COPS).
- Monitor and improve service request resolution, review customer complaint trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure effective customer communication during incidents, outages, and migrations.
- Collaborate with Sales, COPS, Finance, IT, Network, and Marketing teams, and support Executive and Steering Committee reporting requirements.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills):
Key competencies, knowledge and skills:
- Leadership and effective team-working skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to engage effectively at senior Director level.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to combine commercial and technical knowledge when conceptualising new ideas and responding to market trends.
- Ability to implement end-to-end processes and manage cross-functional issues.
- Knowledge of governance, change management, and process standards.
- Knowledge of FTTX and fixed broadband product and lifecycle management.
- Commercial analytics, pricing, and market performance analysis skills.
- Service performance and customer experience management skills.
- Ability to schedule activities, identify resource requirements and dependencies, and build synergies across teams.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience needed:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in telecommunications, ISP, fixed broadband, product management, or commercial strategy.
- Experience managing broadband or fixed connectivity products.
