About the Role

We are looking to hire registered environmental experts or environmental/EIA firms to conduct environmental and social impact assessments, prepare and monitor Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), and ensure compliance reporting, ideally on institutional or healthcare construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental and social impact assessments.
  • Prepare and monitor Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
  • Perform impact identification and mitigation.
  • Conduct stakeholder consultation.
  • Perform environmental and social monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance reporting across the project life cycle.

Requirements

  • Registered environmental experts or environmental/EIA firms that are NEMC-registered or equivalent and in good standing.
  • Five (5) years conducting environmental and social impact assessments and preparing and monitoring Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), ideally on institutional or healthcare construction projects.
  • Track record of ESIAs carried through to NEMC certification in line with the Environmental Management Act and its EIA & Audit Regulations.
  • Impact identification and mitigation.
  • Stakeholder consultation.
  • Environmental and social monitoring.
  • Compliance reporting across the project life cycle.
  • Familiarity with donor safeguard requirements (World Bank ESF or IFC Performance Standards) is an advantage.
