JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods or passengers, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Duties:

• Operate company vehicles (cars, vans, trucks, or buses) to transport goods or passengers as assigned.
• Follow planned routes or GPS navigation to ensure on-time deliveries or arrivals.
• Load and unload cargo safely, securing items to prevent damage during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (check fuel, oil, tires, brakes, etc.).
• Report mechanical issues or accidents to management immediately.
• Keep vehicles clean and fueled, adhering to maintenance schedules.

Compliance & Safety:

• Obey all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries (if required by law).
• Assist passengers with boarding, seating, or special needs (for passenger transport roles).

Customer Service:

• Provide courteous and professional service to clients or passengers.
• Handle payments or delivery confirmations as needed.
• Report customer complaints or incidents to supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license (Class [specify, e.g., D for passengers, C for cargo]).
  • Clean driving record (no major violations).
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Defensive Driving, DOT medical card) may be required.
• Experience:
  • 1+ years of professional driving experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns.
• Skills:
  • Strong time-management and punctuality.
  • Basic vehicle troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to [X] lbs (for cargo roles).
