Position Summary

FAWE Tanzania is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join its team as a Driver.

The Driver will ensure safe and professional driving during tours and official visits. The position is responsible for driving the office vehicle, maintaining vehicle records and ensuring routine vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect the vehicle before and after every trip to determine its safety condition.
• Transport staff to various areas on official trips.
• Carry out minor vehicle repairs.
• Collect and distribute various documents.
• Fill in and maintain all trip information in the logbook.
• Prepare fuel requisitions and material indents for vehicle repairs.
• Clean the vehicle on a daily and weekly basis.
• Ensure proper parking of all vehicles on the office premises.
• Ensure vehicle insurance and driving licence are valid.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation in order to achieve programme safeguarding goals.
• Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding to help establish a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse safeguarding policies among team members and ensure implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow safeguarding reporting procedures in case any reportable incident occurs and encourage others to do so.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of Form Four (Form IV) and Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
• Must possess a Class D or C Driving Licence.
• At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident.
• Must have training certificates that qualified the applicant to obtain the respective driving licence class.
• Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or another college recognized by the Government.
