Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in the Logistics Department for talented and experienced individuals to join the team as Distribution Drivers. The successful candidates will be based in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya and will report directly to the Distribution Team Leader.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Haul bulk stock as part of primary distribution between manufacturing plants, distribution centres, local distribution partners, and OCCDs.
  • Deliver stock as part of secondary distribution to direct delivery customers and OCCDs.
  • Provide professional and efficient customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Collect and handle cash from customers.
  • Ensure all cash collected is properly banked and settled without shortages.
  • Prepare and compile necessary invoices and ensure all delivery documents are accurate and properly checked.
  • Take full accountability for the allocated truck, mobile device, stock, and pallets on the truck.
  • Coordinate and receive customer invoices.
  • Perform daily stock counts accurately and promptly.
  • Comply with all required security checks and procedures.
  • Manage and supervise the crew assigned to the truck.
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations in Tanzania.
  • Follow company safety standards and contribute to a zero-fatality working environment.
  • Complete load settlement after every delivery.

Qualifications

  • VETA Driving Certificate.
  • Form IV secondary education.
  • A valid and applicable driving licence with at least 3 years of validity.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
  • Previous distribution driving experience with a haulier is required.
  • Willingness to work fixed shifts at specific times of the day or days of the week.
  • Awareness of logistics processes and understanding of the relationship between distribution and warehouse operations.
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding required to maintain vehicles under your control in a safe and operational condition according to company and legal standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment handling, truck care, and stock asset management.
  • Understanding of key performance indicators within distribution that affect internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of distribution route planning and optimization systems.
  • Technology savvy and able to operate mobile devices, cab cameras, satellite tracking systems, and other relevant technology.
