Job Summary
A dynamic and growing company in manufacturing and hospitality is looking for the Deputy Food & Beverage to assists in the planning, organization, and supervision of all food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction, profitability, and compliance with company standards. The ideal person for this role supports the Food & Beverage Manager in managing lounge, bar & restaurant operations while leading teams to deliver high-quality service and achieve departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Assist in overseeing daily food and beverage operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor service standards and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate lounge, bar and restaurant operations to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Support the implementation of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct on- job training sessions to improve service quality, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
- Support in recruiting, training, and mentoring F&B staff, ensuring they are well prepared to deliver excellent service.
Financial Management
- Assist in preparing departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor sales, costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
- Review daily revenue reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support cost-control measures and waste reduction initiatives.
Guest Service Excellence
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service and prompt resolution of complaints.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and customer engagement.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Inventory and Procurement
- Assist in managing stock levels and inventory controls.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food and beverage products.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing special events, promotions, and functions within the F&B outlets.
- Work closely with the F&B Manager and other departments to ensure smooth event operations.
- Ensure that events are well-coordinated and meet guest expectations.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure all F&B operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen, bar, and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Support the implementation of food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure safe food handling.
- Maintain records required by regulatory authorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in lounge, bar, restaurants, hotels or hospitality establishments is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations and service standards.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in hospitality management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Guest satisfaction scores.
- Food and beverage revenue growth.
- Cost control and budget adherence.
- Staff productivity and retention.
- Compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Working Conditions
- Frequent interaction with guests, staff, suppliers, and management.
- May require standing and walking for extended periods during operational hours.
- Physical ability to plan and inspect shifts.
