Duties and responsibilities

The Curator II – Zoology will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in the collection and acquisition of museum collections.
  • Assist in documenting and registering museum collections.
  • Assist in storing and conserving museum collections.
  • Assist in evaluating and reporting the status of museum collections.
  • Participate in the preparation of displays and publicizing collections.
  • Participate in the preparation of public education kits in the area of specialization.
  • Conduct programs for temporary, special, and permanent exhibitions.
  • Execute the installation of exhibitions.
  • Prepare and distribute publicity materials, exhibition catalogues, and displays.
  • Prepare exhibition plans and reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and organizations.
  • Collect and evaluate data in the field of exhibition operations.
  • Coordinate simple research and technical experiments for exhibitions.
  • Prepare new designs and models for temporary, special, and permanent exhibitions, performances, and programs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor Degree in Zoology from a recognized institution.
