Position Overview

Kilala Credit Company (T) Limited is seeking qualified, self-motivated, and dynamic individuals to join its team as Credit Officers in Dodoma. This role focuses on driving loan portfolio growth, conducting thorough credit appraisals, monitoring client repayments, and building strong client relationships within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Marketing & Business Growth: Market and promote the company’s loan products to potential individual and group clients across Dodoma.
  • Credit Appraisal & Verification: Assess, evaluate, and verify client loan applications, creditworthiness, businesses, and collateral through site visits.
  • Loan Processing & Monitoring: Process loan approvals in alignment with established credit policies and track portfolios to ensure timely repayments and minimal delinquency.
  • Recovery & Portfolio Management: Follow up on delinquent accounts, manage recovery procedures, and maintain accurate portfolio reports for management.
  • Client & Community Engagement: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients while providing clear guidance on loan products and terms.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Microfinance, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in microfinance, lending, or credit administration is an added advantage.
  • Key Skills: Strong credit assessment capabilities, negotiation skills, report writing, and financial evaluation skills.
  • Core Competencies: High integrity, professional ethics, self-drive, and the ability to hit targets under minimal supervision.
  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the Dodoma business environment and local community dynamics is preferred.
