The Prime Minister's Office – TAMISEMI, in collaboration with the organization Educate! Tanzania through the project to improve the teaching and learning of the Business Studies subject, is implementing an intervention to improve the teaching and learning of Business Studies. The Office announces 400 volunteer (contract) teacher positions for Business Studies in secondary schools with the greatest need, in the following regions: Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Simiyu, Kagera, Geita, Tabora, Dodoma, Morogoro, Coast (Pwani), and Dar es Salaam. The goal of this project is to successfully implement the Education and Training Policy of 2014 (2023 edition) and the improved secondary school curriculum that guides the teaching of Business Studies to increase entrepreneurial skills among students.
Therefore, graduates with Degrees from government-recognized institutions are hereby invited to apply to volunteer to teach Business Studies in secondary schools that will be listed through the official job application system of the Prime Minister's Office – TAMISEMI. The application period is from June 1 to June 14, 2026. Selected volunteer (contract) teachers will be deployed and supervised by Local Government Authorities.
1.0 APPLICATION PROCEDURE
This announcement concerns graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in Business Studies or a Bachelor's Degree in Business-related fields or Economics from government-recognized institutions.
2.0 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS
Applicants for these positions must possess the following qualifications:
- A Degree from a government-recognized institution in one of the following fields:
- Bachelor of Education in Business Studies / Business Education
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Arts in Economics
- Bachelor's Degree in other Business-related fields
- Basic knowledge of business studies, even without teaching experience.
- Ability to use a computer for basic teaching and learning activities.
- Ability to use a computer for basic teaching and learning activities.
- A Degree from a government-recognized institution in one of the following fields: Bachelor of Education in Business Studies / Business Education, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Economics / Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Bachelor's Degree in other Business-related fields.
- Basic knowledge of business studies, even without teaching experience.
- Must be a citizen of Tanzania;
- Must be aged not more than 42 years;
- Must have a National Identification Number (NIDA);
- All applicants who studied secondary education outside Tanzania must obtain an Equivalent Number starting with the letters "EQ..." from the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA), and those who studied at foreign universities must also comply.

- Must attach copies of Birth Certificate, Form IV and/or Form VI certificates, and their professional qualification certificate;
- Must be willing to work in secondary schools with the greatest need for teachers;
- A selected applicant will not be permitted to change the station or school to which they are initially assigned during the implementation period of this volunteer program;
- Must not be currently employed by the Government or any other institution;
- Must not have been dismissed or retired from public service due to disciplinary reasons;
- Applicants must attach all necessary documents to the system;
- Must attach an application letter.
