JOB DETAILS:
The Contract Superintendent is responsible for managing and administering contracts that support mining operations and projects in Tanzania. The position focuses on managing high-value goods contracts across mining, processing, maintenance, construction, logistics, and operational support, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian regulations and company governance standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with operational and project requirements.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes including RFQs, RFPs, and tender evaluations.
- Conduct commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
- Manage contract variations with company procurement policies and delegation of authority.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian mining regulations and local content requirements.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across operations, finance, legal, engineering, and logistics teams.
Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in contracts, procurement, or commercial roles within mining or heavy industry.
- Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
