Background
TRA United Football Club is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- To coordinate and supervise daily activities of the Club;
- To define and implement the club's long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
- To ensure compliance with football regulations (FIFA, CAF, TFF, league rules), good governance practices and government regulations.
- To supervise sporting matters, including player recruitment, transfers, contracts, and development of youth academies.
- To drive brand growth, marketing, and expand fan base through engagement initiatives including community programs and digital platforms.
- To secure and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and community relations.
- To ensure alignment between sporting goals and commercial objectives.
- To represent the club in national and international football governing bodies.
- To support coaching staff in creating a competitive team.
- To manage the club's budget, ensuring financial accountability and stability.
- To drive revenue through sponsorships, partnerships, broadcasting rights, and merchandising.
- To build the club's brand locally and internationally.
- To secure and maintain corporate sponsorships.
- To report regularly to the Board of the club on performance and challenges in consultation with chairperson of the club.
- To uphold transparency, accountability, and ethical standards.
- To act as the club's official representative to the media, sponsors, and football authorities.
- To build strong relationships with fans, community leaders, and government institutions.
- To promote the club's image and manage its reputation.
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by relevant Authority.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree related to Management, Leadership, Sports Management, or any other degree provided that the candidate has enough experience in football management. At least 5 years in football administrative leadership role and not less than 3 years of senior management experience, with proven track record in sports administration, commercial management, or large organizational leadership. Strong understanding of Tanzanian football governance, NBC Premier League regulations, and sports law. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and deliver measurable results.
