Who you are for the Career Guidance Counsellor role
The School of St Jude is looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting students, especially girls, in discovering their academic and career pathways.
Duties and responsibilities
The Career Guidance Counsellor will be responsible for supporting students through career guidance activities, lessons, workshops, and mentorship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the Career Guidance curriculum and facilitating lessons for Form 2, Form 3, and Form 4 students at St Jude’s Girls’ School.
- Coordinating annual surveys, workshops, career fairs, and the holiday Skills Development Program.
- Delivering typing and emotional intelligence classes tailored to students’ needs and abilities.
- Leading club activities and ensuring accurate reporting and procedures for club leaders and members.
- Supporting club activities and ensuring accurate reporting and procedures for club leaders and members.
- Collaborating with the Careers team and other academic staff to mentor and guide students, especially those at risk of poor career decisions.
Qualifications, skills and experience required
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- At least 2 years of paid experience in career counselling or similar roles in a school or education setting.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
- A positive, self-motivated work ethic.
- A passion for developing the next generation of female leaders.
- A clear understanding of 21st Century Skills.
- A solid plan to cultivate 21st Century Skills among students.
- Passion for youth mentorship.

- Bachelor degree
- At least 2 years of paid experience in career counselling or similar roles in a school or education setting.
