Job Summary
The Captain (Pilot-In-Command) will be responsible for planning, supervising, and operating company flights in accordance with aviation regulations and Precision Air operating procedures. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of flight safety, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer service while leading the flight crew using effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and operate company flights safely and efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations and company operating procedures.
- Maintain the safety of passengers, crew members, cargo, and aircraft.
- Apply Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles throughout flight operations.
- Promote operational discipline and professional decision-making.
- Support efficient and cost-effective flight operations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service during flight operations.
- Ensure all flight activities comply with company manuals and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- University Degree, Equivalent Diploma, or Flight/Cargo Operations qualifications.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Current ATR 72-500 & ATR 42-500/600 Type Rating.
Experience Required
Candidates must have:
- Minimum 3,500 total flying hours.
- At least 1,500 hours as Pilot-In-Command (Captain).
- Minimum 500 hours as Captain on ATR 72-500 & ATR 42-500/600 aircraft.
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial air transport operations.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should also have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current licensing qualifications and recency in accordance with General Operations Manual (GOM) and Tanzania Civil Aviation Regulations (TCARs).
- Customer service experience within the airline industry will be an added advantage.
- A valid Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) Licence will be an added advantage.
