Job purpose
To support the preparation, coordination, and implementation of strategic projects across the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries sectors, ensuring effective appraisal, monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and compliance, while advancing climate-smart practices and the productivity, resilience, and competitiveness of financed project beneficiaries.
Duties and responsibilities
- To assist in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of strategic projects across the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries sectors, including the design, piloting, and rollout of interventions tailored to diverse clients and value chain actors.
- To participate in project appraisals, feasibility studies, and due diligence processes for proposed and ongoing projects.
- To collect, validate, and analyze project data and prepare regular progress reports that highlight achievements, risks, lessons learned, and recommendations in support of monitoring and evaluation.
- To liaise with and provide operational support to internal teams, government agencies, private sector partners, other DFIs, consultants, and vendors to ensure effective project coordination.
- To facilitate workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building engagements for financed project beneficiaries.
- To contribute to the mainstreaming of climate-smart and sustainable practices, and support initiatives that enhance the productivity, resilience, market access, and competitiveness of financed project beneficiaries.
- To identify risks and challenges affecting project implementation and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
- To ensure compliance with TADB’s policies, development finance standards, and environmental and social safeguards, and to maintain accurate project documentation, records, and databases for accountability and learning.
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and experience
- Holder of bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields; Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Aquaculture, Finance, Accounts, Banking and Finance or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions.
- Knowledge in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, Marine Biology, or Environmental Management is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in fish stock dynamics, breeding cycles, and aquatic ecology to make data-driven decisions.
- Analytical Skills: Experience in interpreting financial information/statements.
- Ability to evaluate credit application proposals.
- Sales Skills.
