  • You are a dedicated, disciplined and morally upright individual who can ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all students.
  • Able to guide and supervise students at all times, making sure they follow rules, routines, and study schedules.
  • Promote and organize extracurricular activities and help create a positive, family-like atmosphere in the boarding house.
  • Ensure students are neat, punctual, respectful, and well-prepared for all school activities.
  • Able to uphold safety, security, and child protection procedures while reporting and following up on any issues promptly.
  • Actively participate in meetings and trainings to improve your skills and contribute to the boarding team.
  • Able to serve as a good role model by demonstrating good discipline, commitment, and care towards all students.

What we’re looking for

  • Tanzanians who holds minimum Diploma level as stipulated above from accredited institution within East Africa.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an educational related field as a Boarding Parent (Matron)
  • Empathy for children’s needs and feelings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as a medium of instruction.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work overnight.
  • An individual who is able to adapt to our school’s diverse Policies and Procedures (including working over the weekends in a catholic school environment).
  • A mature and experienced person with not less than 35 years of age to be able to provide parental care to teenagers.
  • Someone who can handle and report safeguarding concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Proven nursing/psychology/boarding school leadership background will be an added advantage.
