Maendeleo Bank PLC is seeking to recruit four Agency Banking Officers to drive the growth and performance of the Bank’s Agency Banking business.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new Agency Banking agents within assigned territories.
• Drive growth in active agents, transaction volumes, and transaction values.
• Mobilize deposits and support the acquisition of new banking customers.
• Identify new markets and strategic locations for expansion of the Agency Banking network.
• Reactivate dormant and low-performing agents.
• Drive Agency Banking revenue and profitability.
• Conduct regular agent visits and relationship management.
• Support agents with liquidity management and operational challenges.
• Train agents on products, services, systems, and customer service standards.
• Monitor compliance with KYC, AML/CFT, Bank policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular performance reports and provide market and competitor intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in Agency Banking, Banking Sales, Mobile Financial Services, Fintech, Business Development, or Relationship Management.
• Proven ability to deliver sales and business growth targets.
• Experience in agent, merchant, or distribution network development will be an added advantage.
