Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bagamoyo.
Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintain and update accurate books of accounts, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and other financial records.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, SDL, corporate tax, NSSF, and WCF, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process and monitor budget variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Manage inventory costing and liaise with the production team to ensure accurate cost accounting.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Tanzania tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Odoo, Sage, or similar ERP systems, as well as MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
