Position Description
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit an Underground Shift Boss Trainers to join and grow our team for Two (2) Fixed Term Renewable.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work practice i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies.
- To coordinate both production and development deliverables while simultaneously facilitating the upskilling and professional growth of the workforce through training and development of the Supervisors
- Implement the standards for the Underground Mining Department for the projects and be accountable for the standards being met for all outputs.
- To embody and foster the company police and values to all employees
- To execute the daily plan and report all delays or deviations from the plan immediately, including the necessary recovery action
- Plan all work in a safe and efficient manner to always maximize face activity.
- Provide the leadership and motivation necessary to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to all policies, standards and procedures during the execution of their duties.
- Ensure all areas of the operational department are conducting themselves in line with the company policies and ensure a safe working environment for employees
- Create a working environment that ensures that employees gain new skills and achieve their full potential by developing and implementing effective training and mentoring programmers.
- Effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders and provide feedback and other information as required on heading status and other areas of interest
- Demonstrate the ability to operate all mining equipment applicable to the mine in a high-speed manner.
- Coordinate detailed Execution Plans for all projects and be accountable for the efficient and effective application of the plan to ensure the timely completion of project work.
- Liaise with the Engineering personnel to ensure production.
- Prepare regular reports regarding production work progress as required
- Promotes the systems for upskill and training for subordinate/team members are in place
Qualification Requirements:
- Qualification in Mining or similar technical qualification that is supported by practical work experience in mining.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Production Training
- Experience in large underground mining operations
- Previous trainer experience is a must and will be discussed with potential short list candidates as to their exposure
Skills / Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledge of mentoring employees from diverse backgrounds
- Adequate skillset to operate all underground machines for training purposes
- Exposure to automation within the underground environment
- Thorough knowledge of modern trackless mechanised mining production and development methodologies including automation
