JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
• Improve maintenance tactics through defect elimination and drive maintenance execution excellence through rigorous planning to ensure on-time and high-quality safe execution
• Collaborating with other Barrick – Africa & Middle East operations and engineering sections to identify opportunities to improve the technical, commercial and people performance of the business
• Implementing, monitoring and managing the shift handover process and standby arrangements for the section
• Contributing to continuous improvement and asset optimization initiatives and projects to ensure best practice engineering processes are in place
• Ensuring that efficient and accurate processing of statutory or SAP Plant Maintenance scheduled tasks and work orders
• People management through the assessment of training needs and implementation of training programs, manage contractors and service providers to ensure maximized outputs in order to deliver projects within the timeframe and budget management to ensure effective cost control and savings
• Lead zero harm in safety through active participation in relevant safety meetings, audits, incident investigations, inspections and observations, address issues as part of demonstrating safety leadership and ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act legal requirements
• Promoting continual improvements and supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their area of responsibility.

Qualification requirements
• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Industrial Engineering

Experience and Competencies needed
• Minimum of 15 years mining experience
• Focused fixed plant and mobile equipment with 5 years at similar level or higher
• Demonstrated experience in Processing Plant operations utilising large-scale mining equipment
• Demonstrated experience working with OEM’s and managing contracts
• Demonstrated experience in asset management, project management and cost management
• Be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
• Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.

2 Artisan II (Plumber)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To inspect conferences and offices to ensure are done according to the laid down procedures;
• To maintain all building systems as assigned;
• To do maintenance and repair of AICC facilities;
• To repair and replace worn out or damaged property;
• To keep records for every maintenance and repair works undertaken; and
• To perform any other duties relevant to the scope of work that may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Form IV/VI Certificate of Secondary Education plus National Vocational Award Level III in Plumbing for a plumber from a recognized institution.

JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
• To provide reliable, efficient and cost effective motive power, rolling stock and related equipment to traffic in the Region so as to meet traffic haulage requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement mechanical operations systems for the provision of reliable, efficient and cost effective rolling stock, motive power and related equipment to traffic in the region in order to sustain volume of passenger and freight traffic.
• Approve detailed plans and schedules for maintenance activities, determining priorities at locomotive sheds, rolling stock, repair sidings and repair shop in line with traffic requirements, workshop facilities and available labour force.
• Control utilisation of fuels, oils, motive power and rolling stock to ensure achievement of targets within economic constraints.
• Review, train schedules taking into account availability of motive power, rolling stock, traffic volume and personnel in order to enhance train movements vis-a-vis traffic haulage.
• Control and Co-ordinate district mechanical activities to improve maintenances work and reduce work load on central workshops.
• Analyses train failures with a view to eliminate cases such failures along the line in conjunction with Civil Engineering in order to maximise on locomotive and rolling stock turn round time.
• Provide train accident statistics to management appraising causes,financial, capital losses and recommending remedial action to forestall future occurrences.
• Monitor maintenance of motor vehicles to ensure conformance to laid down procedures/schedules and enhance reliability, availability and cost effective running of same.

• Not more than 45 years of age.
• Post graduate work experience at senior level, will be an added advantage;
• Registered Member of the Engineers registration board (ERB) as professional engineer in Tanzania.

5 Agricultural Engineer II

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To prepare development plans, proposals and designs for new and improved workshop facilities;
• To implement Workshop development programs;
• To design machine, plant or specialized plant for special purpose, equipment and
• plant modifications, and other items;
• To prepare requisitions for procurement and replacement, overhaul, utilization and arrangement of the plant, equipment and Workshop tools;
• To conduct capacity building, manpower development and training;
• To prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports; and
• To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields; Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Engineering and Mechanization, Mechanical Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or equivalent qualifications from Institution/University recognized by the Government. The candidate must be registered by ERB as Graduate Engineer.
