JOB DETAILS:
Effective overseeing and implementation of company’s compensation and benefits policies and practices.

Responsibilities
• Ensure that compensation practices, salaries and benefits are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc)
• Develop a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits in and is aligned to the company’s strategy and business goals
• Develop and Structure effective and efficient compensation and benefits practices for the company so as to yield the highest value for the company
• Conduct research, assess employees needs by conducting organizational surveys to establish what motivates employee productivity
• Design compensation packages and bonus programs that align with the company’s strategic plan
• Assess, Measure, Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee compensation and benefit programs offered by the company
• Provide technical and data driven support to managers in their decisions on compensation benefits practices/packages and advise on effective ways to motivate employees in the company.
• Prepare regular audits and reports for company’s’ information and storage
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to payroll.
• Oversee timely processing of payroll changes (e.g. new recruits, terminated staff, salary increments) and system upgrades

• Accountabilities
• Be responsible for overseeing, managing and administering employees' compensation and benefits
• Developing a consistent compensation practice for the company
• Ensure that company’s compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation
• Ensure that the Company Policies, rules, guidelines and procedure are followed.
• Provide continuous, reliable and relevant reporting to the management

Qualifications And Required Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or any other related field
• 5+ years of experience working in the human resources field
• Posses 5+ years practical experience as a compensation and benefits manager or similar role
• Posses knowledge and experience in using different payroll systems
• Posses strong negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledgeable in building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels
• Posses excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems
• Good analytical skills especially in quantitative data collection and analysis
• Posses good knowledge of payroll procedures and related labor laws of Tanzania
• Posses experience in conducting employee satisfaction surveys
• Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP,) and MS Office (especially Excel)

The Legal and Human Resource Associate will lead the organization’s legal affairs, human resourcing strategy and delivery of people development and talent management related to all of Silverleaf’s staff, schools and departments across regions of Tanzania. The Legal and Human Resource Associate is responsible for the design and execution of Silverleaf Legal functions, Human Resource Management Strategy and System, S/he will lead all activities of legal, administration and management of Human Resources functions.

Roles and Duties
• This role is expected to
• ensure good collaboration and coordination with all Silverleaf's stakeholders across the country, while ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of Silverleaf's distinct contribution to attainment of organizational objectives.
• S/he should be an innovative, results-oriented individual who can create and deliver a vision, and ensure organization compliance and managing team member expectations.
• The Legal and Human Resource Associate will work closely with the CFO, COO and CEO and sit within the Central team of the organization.
• Legal Responsibilities
• Be in-charge of all legal affairs of Silverleaf and its affiliated entitie
• Notarization of all Silverleaf and affiliated entities documents.
• Advise the organization on all legal matters and liaise with various regulatory bodies to ensure that Silverleaf consistently complies to various laws and regulations of URT.
• Advise the organization on legal issues pertaining to foreign employees, volunteers, visitors and International Professionals and liaise with Imigration, Employment and other laws.
• Lead on Visa, Work permits and residents permits of all Silverleaf foreign staff
• Leading, advising and preparing company contracts with all other parties.
• Coordinate staff performance review, maintain and update the HR management system with all employee information, Inclusive of policies governing the relationship between the people., Silverleaf and their professional growth.
• Updating organizational structure. Support in Workforce planning, distribution and recruitment
• Coordinate with Insurance companies for staff benefits & assist in preparing policy, guidelines, and systems for staff safety measures.
• Human Resource Responsibilities
• Review HR processes and suggest improvements. Advise and assist management and employees in HR related issues and concerns
• Team member attendance and time management (Work hours, overtime, staff gap, leaves, etc)
• Issue contract and letters to all employees (Offer, contracts, transfer, separation, warning, retrenchment, retirement etc)
• Provide feedback to the management to enhance a better and cordial working environment.
• Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
• Create and implement effective onboarding plans. Book testing, schedule interviews and prepare employment contracts
• Develop and implement Human Resources strategy, Lead the process of review of job descriptions and the preparation of new and/or revised job descriptions in line with organizational human resource strategy
• Assist in developing and implementing staff professional development programmes
• Prepare and implement staff motivation plan, arrange effectively social events and activities

Qualifications/Experience:
• Mandatory
• Must have Bachelor Degree in law (LLB)
• Must be currently registered and recognised advocate of High court of Tanzania,
• Practicing experience in corporate compliance and company services for a minimum of two years, preferably in Tanzania
• Fluent in English, swahili would be an advantage

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To advise the Director General on all matters regarding administration, projects, human resource to ensure that MSD has motivated, committed, engaged and highly competent employees to achieve its set objectives;
• To oversee MSD capital expansion projects such as warehousing and office buildings, giving technical and administrative support in the project team and guide its execution according to budget and on time;

Master Degree must be related to Bachelor Degree. Candidate must possess certificate of Qualifying Law Examination for Administrative Officers or Proficiency Examination for Human Resource Officers with ten years of working experience of which two (2) years must be in a managerial level.
