JOB DETAILS:

You will maintain and develop Ongeza’s MIS and sales management system. The current system comprises of two Android apps and accompanying PHP web application. The Lead Software Developer will write code as well as train the localteam.

An ideal candidate will:
• Maintain and develop the existing MIS system.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on data requirements and uses.
• Perform data analysis and create reports for management
• provide technical training to teams when required and serve as technical mentor to team members

Qualifications:
• Minimum four years work experience in programming, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in PHP, MVC, MYSQL, html, css, JavaScript, git
• At least a Diploma in an IT related course
• Strong working experience on Android programming/Java is a plus
• Experience maintaining and developing MySQL.
• Experience with Linux
• Experience in a variety of technologies and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Creative problem-solving.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Comfort working in a startup environment.
• Fluent in both English and Kiswahili

Purpose /Background
WHO Tanzania works closely with health and development partners and across sectors to improve everyone’s ability to enjoy good health and well- being. With a spirit of collaboration and a commitment to science WHO advises the ministries of health and other sectors on public health issues and provides support to plan, implement and monitor health programs
For effective documentation and communication of the processes and impact of the work that WHO accomplishes with partners and the relevant ministries, WHO Tanzania seeks to enlist the services of a photographer/videographer.

The candidate will be called to support WHO work in Tanzania by taking photos and videos in different locations in the United Republic of Tanzania to showcase the processes and impact of the support and collaboration of WHO, the ministry of health and other stakeholders to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Tanzania.
This support includes the provision of high-impact technical support for the production, collection, analysis and synthesis, and dissemination of quality health data and information. This candidate will work within the strategic framework of the Ministry to strengthen data management, monitoring, and evaluation in health.

Scope and Methodology
Under the supervision of the Communications Officer and the SMO cluster, the SSA will be responsible for the following:
Photograph relevant activities, keeping in mind culture, gender and other diverse sensitivities as per WHO guidelines.
Produce high-quality and high-resolution photographs. The images will be used for illustration in publications, websites, newsletters, social media and institutional magazines. Photographs may also be used by the media and other partners on request as a resource to portray WHO's work.
Provide captions to accompany the photos;
Visit the project areas in the country, to collect photo, video and interview material of projects and projects beneficiaries (women, youth, men, children,);
Prior to each field trip, WHO will provide the Photographer with a detailed brief of expected out puts and relevant background information;
WHO staff members and/or implementing partner organizations staff will accompany the photographer during field mission;
Ensure subjects recorded in the videos have provided written consent (WHO will provide a consent form):
