JOB DETAILS:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Daily job allocation & technical guidance to subordinates.
• Responsible for compliance of safety measures within work area.
• Responsible for housekeeping of his/her work area.
• Executes the maintenance and servicing of Circuit Breakers, Transformers, MCC, PCC, MV & LV switch boards, Battery charger, Plant lighting/earthing system, HT/LT motors, VFD, HT/LT Cables and terminations etc. as per preventive maintenance schedule.
• Executes Work orders well in time with quality and safety.
• Prepares various reports & maintains documentation such as Power report, Maintenance check list, daily job report, maintenance history of equipment’s etc.
• Imparts training to subordinates.
• Updates maintenance data into SAP
• Issuing of material from Store and giving advance information to seniors about the requirement of spare.
• Prepares PR, notifications, work order etc. in SAP
• Perform any other related activities as may assigned by Senior or Head of Department

Requirements
• BE in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience
• Knowledge and work experience of Low, Medium and High Voltage system (i.e. MCC/PCC/MV & LV switch boards etc.), HT/LT Motors, Transformer, Substation’s Indoor/outdoor equipment, Generator, cables & cable termination, Plant lighting/earthing system, Electrical measuring & testing equipments, Electrical and electronic Diagram and its interpretation, Basics of Computer, Battery charger etc.
• Understanding of engineering drawing and principles.
• Extensive knowledge of Plant and equipment technology
• Knowledge of Electrical safety.
• Communication skill

Requirements

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of eight (8) years post-qualification experience in manufacturing unit, preferably Cement manufacturing.
• Knowledge and work experience of Installation, Testing, Trouble shooting, Operation & Maintenance of Low, Medium and High Voltage system (i.e., MCC/PCC/MV & LV switch boards etc.), HT/LT Motors, Transformer, Substation’s Indoor/outdoor equipment’s, Generator, Air conditioning system, cables & cable termination, lighting/earthing system, Electrical testing equipment’s, Electrical and electronic Diagram and its interpretation, Basics of Computer, Battery charger etc.
• Understanding of engineering drawing and principles.
• Extensive knowledge of Plant and equipment technology

• Working experience of High voltage equipment’s (At 11 KV voltage level)

Description
• Plan, manage, co-ordinate, and direct mining operations and maintenance of machinery.
• Evaluate efficiency of mining sites to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used, and make changes to work schedule or equipment when necessary.
• Oversee the technical mining aspects of the operations including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and provide expertise as required.
• Manage field activities and implement engineering designs.
• Identify performance optimization opportunities to enhance bottom line financial benefits.
• Monitor mining operational performance against budget and ensure that production quotas and procedures are met.
• Liaise with the quality assurance laboratory to attain required quality.

Description
• Ensure operation & maintenance for pertaining to the mechanical equipment like vertical roller mills and reclaimers.
• Lead the team of technicians for supervision of maintenance and timely completion of maintenance activity.
• To ensure that, quality standards are followed during maintenance work.
• Planning and implementing preventive & breakdown maintenance schedule of mechanical equipment’s for improving overall reliability and safety of machinery.
• Conduct failure investigation and take corrective action to reduce equipment down time and maximum availability for plant operation.

Scope of Position
The successful candidate should be ready to work for considerable lengths of time when required under minimum supervision.

Key Qualifications:
• Holder of Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized Higher Learning Institution/Colleges;
• Age: Not above 35 years;

Duties and Responsibilities:
• To carry out activities as described in the East African Community Vehicle Load Control Act, 2016 and its Regulations, 2017. The activities include the following;
• To weigh Motor Vehicles of Gross vehicle weight (GVW)> 3,500Kg on our Public Roads;
• To impose road damage fee on the spot if the Vehicle is found overloaded;
• To measure physical dimension of motor vehicles or any load being carried on the motor vehicles;
• To record all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighed;
• To ascertain compliance to the abnormal permit. Any discrepancy should be reported to the Weighbridge In-Charge for appropriate action;
• Record all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighed; and
• To perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe work practices, i.e., attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting, and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Follow all maintenance procedures and ensure the completion of mechanical activities according to standard without causing any further damage to any component/system/equipment.
• Ensure equipment isolation, adhere to working at height and confined space standards/ procedures, and conduct pre-start checks/ inspections.
• Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain Plant & Mobile equipment safely and efficiently to achieve production and cost targets.
• Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding, and corrective maintenance to solve unplanned equipment unavailability events.
• Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum equipment availability.
• Utilize work instructions to determine job requirements, including job sheets, quality, quantity of materials/ resources, etc.
• Perform PM inspection according to the maintenance requirements and ensure preventive maintenance compliance.
• Conduct Mobile and Plant equipment upgrades/modifications as required.
• Removal of the machine components and replacement.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to the First Line Leader on conditions that may affect the functionality of the equipment.
• Ensure First Line Leaders and all stakeholders are informed of equipment availability status.
• Follow up on outstanding maintenance/ repairs.
• Complete shift handover process.
• Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills and develop their full potential.
• Under the direction of the First Line Leader, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced personnel.

Qualification requirements:
• Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
• Trade-certified fitter.
• Exposure to working with automation of underground mechanized mining equipment.

Experience requirements:
• Minimum 5yrs working on Sandvik mechanized mining equipment.

Skills / knowledge requirements:
• The ability to prioritize repairs and take instructions to reduce downtime and delays is foremost in maximizing machine availability and operator utilization.
• Must have proven experience working as part of a high-speed mechanized jumbo development maintenance team with a sound understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on mobile machinery.
• The ability to diagnose faults and rectify them in a time-efficient manner is critical.
• Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
• Exposure to the industry’s best preventative maintenance regimes is imperative to ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to the high level of availability at all times.
