Job Description
Ensure that the company’s credit policy is sufficiently adhered to by effectively and efficiently managing the debtors so that the company meets its financial obligations and comply with the legislation
• Ensure strict adherence to the company credit policy of cash and carry to ensure compliance
• To issue and allocate all receipts on time to respective intermediaries, direct customers etc
• Ensure smooth and effective running of the position by ensuring all outstanding debts (if any) have been collected within the time limit
• Overall in charge of stationery control and allocation to intermediaries. Timely reconciliation of used cover notes and sticker books and submission back to HQ
• Ensure collection targets are in line with the company’s strategic objective to ensure no credits offered to allow the company meets its financial obligation
• Debtors Accounts reconciliations
• Co-ordinate collections, reconcile, banking and pursue legal action for defaulters to maximise on collections
• Ensure timely commissions computation and request for payments are done timely
• Reconciliation and allocation of intermediaries’ statements and ensure timely dispatch of intermediaries’ statements
• Resolving intermediaries’ queries and complaints
• Issue cancellations on all unpaid premiums after 7 days after due process has been followed
• Ensure that all documents are properly filed and available at all times
• Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

The Lake Tanganyika Program Coordinator supports the design of the TNC Lake Tanganyika Program strategic plan, and annual action plan

Main roles and responsibilities include:

• Provide technical leadership and management of a complex freshwater program.
• Supervise the monitoring of key deliverables, outputs, and outcomes as per work plans.
• Ensure coordination among numerous stakeholders, partners, and participants for the project.
• Coordinate budget management and tracking of Program progress with assistance from the TNC Operations team
• Oversee project management for the program, using TNC’s Highly Effective Teams and any other approaches to effectively manage key projects and support the work of cross-functional, cross-geographic teams towards the desired outcome.
• Coordinate work plans, manage consultants, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Oversees preparation and implementation of grants and contracts.
• Mentor and manage professional staff, with responsibility for performance management, training, and career development.
• Establish and maintain optimal standards of performance for the department or program while controlling costs and administering budgets.
• Supports the Lake Tanganyika Program Director to ensure that public and private funds are raised to meet program needs, in support of the TNC Africa philanthropy team.
• Builds cooperation from outside parties to accomplish program goals, particularly with the Lake Tanganyika Authority and riparian governments as well as other partners.
• May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
• Frequently makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience, and context.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 5 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including staffing, workloads, and finances under deadlines.
• Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.
• Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups and/or government agencies
• Experience negotiating complex agreements.
• English and French language fluency
• Experience in building and managing consortia of partners across institutions (e.g., communities, NGOs, private and government) and varying sectors.
• Experience with organizational and communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience required.
• 5-7 years’ experience in conservation practice, Natural Resources management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience influencing, developing and implementing conservation and/or fisheries policy and plans.
• Knowledge and experience in fundraising, linking and collaborating with international organizations, and fostering Public–Private–Community – Partnership (PPCP).
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in inland fisheries and freshwater conservation
• Knowledge of methods and standards of biodiversity and fisheries information systems and initiatives
• Communicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means in English, French, and Kiswahili
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor-related reporting experience.
• Politically savvy.

Job Purpose
Implement the B2B sales growth plan within the assigned markets in line with the overall business strategy to achieve the company sales target, growth, and profitability.

Key Deliverables for this Position
• Identify, engage, successfully negotiate, and onboard new customers to supply Primary rigid consumer and Industrial packaging, Tertiary packaging
• Achieve B2B sales growth and revenue targets by developing associated customer base (Global, regional MNC and SME)
• Prepare and submit monthly customer meeting plans.
• Quarterly demand forecast with not less than 95% accuracy.
• Ensure on time collections as per the credit lines.
• Ensure on time delivery of packaging goods as specified by the customer.
• Achieve customer satisfaction score of A+.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
• Prepare monthly sales targets by prospective clients for each product, monitor and review with the line manager.
• Ensure sales targets are achieved/exceeded as forecasted in the Annual budget by product class/category/Type & SKU.
• Plan and execute structured customer visits to ensure pitching for new business as per the projected pipeline sales with clear objectives and progress reports.
• Execute Master Supply Agreement along with KYC for a minimum 3-to-5-year tenure with every customer.

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Sales and Marketing or any relevant field
• Advanced Diploma in sales and marketing or a professional certification in sales and marketing as an added advantage
• Fluent in English and French for Francophone countries (market)
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role in Plastics packaging company.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze economic environments and business opportunities in a systematic and detailed manner
