JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of the role:
The post holder is responsible for assisting Underground High Voltage Electrical Supervisor on shift and He/she will be working closely with experts in all aspects on effective facilities maintenance at the UG HME department.

Qualifications:

• Grade one /level tree Trade test certificate in high voltage/ Full technician in electrical Engineering,
Advance Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
• Must have valid Tanzanian driving license and manual vehicle driving competency.

Experience:

• At least 1-2 years’ experience as HV Electrician, doing trouble shooting and repair of Underground High Voltage, cable runs, fan installations, servicing of drilling jumbo, servicing UG pumps.
• Should have High Voltage Electrical knowledge.
• Jumbo Sandvik experience is an added advantage.

Main or key accountabilities:
• Performing electrical fault diagnostics on Equipment and other machines to identify faults.
• Repairing electrical faults in jumbos, Solos, cubex starters, flyt pumps, stalker pumps and replacing damaged/faulty parts where necessary.
• Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair work.
• Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in the equipment.
• Preparing time and cost estimates for business unit.
• Performing routine revision and maintenance on the machines.
• Learn and follow the safety requirements related to your work.
• Consider what could go wrong and what needs to be done to work safely before starting a task.
• Speak up if you think a task cannot be done safely.
• Continually look for new hazards in the workplace and report them to your supervisor.
• Talk to your Supervisor when you think you are unable to work at your best.
• Suggest ways you can improve Safety performance.
• Promptly report all injuries, illnesses, and incidents.
• Help others to work safely.

Additional qualifications:
• Sound knowledge on health, safety, and environment issues.
• Computer literacy, good communication skills and able to speak both English and Swahili.
• Knowledge of diagnostics tools for electrical fault finding.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.
• Ability to carry out/repair electrical wiring and installation.

JOB DETAILS:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To perform and complete all task assignment safely, using correct work method and safety precautions to the required quality standard, completing task on time, and effectively using the resources, given for each task. Execute all planned and unplanned tasks and release the equipment safely to the Mining operation team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• VETA Trade Test Grade One or level three certificate, Full Technician Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive engineering or above.
• Possession of valid Tanzanian Driving license will be added advantage.

• At least 5 years or more experience as a Mechanic in the maintenance of BELL Trucks especially 835L, Normet Machines, R2900 Loader, AD60, Different Model of Mining CAT (Caterpillars Machines), RH 40 & 170 Excavators and MT 4400AC.
• Proven experience in Troubleshooting and maintenance work on BELL and CAT Equipment.
• Ability to use special diagnosis tools and reading schematic diagram.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test and approve quality of job done.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure that the work is conducted in a safe working practices and procedures.
• Conduct inspection on equipment’s to identify damages or defect and document on the register and submit to your supervisor for more actions.
• Execute all mining equipment maintenance tasks assigned following approved work procedures.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely according to GGM Safety Standards procedures.
• Repair equipment and report completion of tasks to Senior Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping at all time.
• Report to Supervisor any unsafe equipment immediately.
• Ensure that the work is performed to the OEM’S up standard and ensure quality of work to increase up time after the equipment is released to production.
• Be able to plan work before execution.
• Carry out work as required or directed.
• Meet work delivery deadlines to minimize the demand for resources without exceeding the required by Date for work completion.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to read and understand maintenance manual book.
• Ensure quality of workmanship on all tasks which are executed.
• Ensure equipment release checklist is completed before equipment is released.
• Provide quality oversight for component rebuild to ensure the components overhaul meet OEM as a minimum standard for overhaul.
• Possess interpersonal skills to get the job done on time without compromising Safety and Quality.
• Honest and open minded.
• Must have good written and oral communications skills in English language.
• Must be able to work with the team members and shows Leadership skills.
• Able to show initiative and coordination skills and be able to interact with cross functional teams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the preparation of reports, records, and key performance indicators required to manage costs, productivity, and achieve optimal efficiencies.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, standards.
• Coordinates with installation teams to meet the agreed work schedule.
• Supervises Telecom implementation contractors on site and takes charge of generating deficiency report.
• Generates material order list and arranges for material delivery to site.
• Overall materials management and reporting.
• Coordinate technical site surveys, High level and Low-level reviewing and approval.
• Generates and circulate reports daily, weekly and monthly reports on project progress.
• Primary support for all telecom implementation activities, including organizing site access, securing necessary approvals for implementation.
• Ensures that installation teams are working according to the Axian health and safety plan and policy.
• Ensures that installation quality and standards are met.
• Coordination and management of site handover to operations including ensuring that all snags/ deficiencies related to project installation are addressed and resolved.
• Coordinate project teams communications and interactions with other domains such Operations, IT, Supply chain and Commercial.
• Coordinate project teams communications and interactions with other vendors/ contractors/ partners such as Towerco and other MNOs.
• Budget management, CAPEX Execution and reporting.
• Keep record of project risks/ issues, develop mitigation/ resolutions and follow-up their resolution.
• Participation in tendering process including preparing scope of work, selection process and analysis of proposals and suppliers.
• Comply to MIC internal policies, controls and procedures.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication/ Electronic Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering.
• Project Management basic trainings is added advantages.
• Knowledge of various project management tools is essential.
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio.
• Knowledge of Telecommunications, Civil and Power, and Project Management, Management.
• At least 3 years site rollout or project management experience in telecommunication industry.
• At least 3 Years Telecommunication or related engineering experience.
