Job Description
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Boilermakers to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the mining department are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.
Reporting to: Process Plant Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor
Duration: Permanent

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines
• Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to maintain Process Plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production and cost targets.
• Interpretation ,access and reading of job specifications and relevant information
• Ensuring that the selection of materials for repairs, replacements and inspection comply with the required standards.
• Correct selection of hand power tools hand, welding equipment, thermal cutting equipment and thermal heating equipment and safety equipment for safe use.
• Understanding of engineering and structural drawings, interpreting sketches and drawings application of measuring equipment, marking, welding terms, codes and symbols and cutting tools
• Using oxy acetylene welding & cutting, thermal gouging and thermal heating.
• Interpretation of materials safety data sheets (MSDS)
• Planning of the logical sequence of welding operations
• Completion of basic welding, heating and cutting job cards/ work orders, hot work permit
• Carry out fabrication work and corrective maintenance to improve equipment availability, reliability, safety and functionality.
• Ensure that maintenance practices result in maximum HME equipment availability. Meeting or exceeding planned HME equipment availability is a Key Performance Indicator.
• Assist other mechanical tradesmen in maintenance work as required.
• Complete assigned work in a timely manner with minimum supervision and to an internationally acceptable standard.
• Ensure First Line leader and all stakeholders are kept informed on equipment availability status.
• Actively participate in training activities to gain new skills, develop full potential and assume increasing accountability.
• Under the direction of the First Line leader, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experience personnel.
• Follow Safe Work Procedures and other maintenance procedures.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the First Line leader within your capacity without jeopardizing Health and safety.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Ordinary secondary education (Form IV)
• Technical School Certificate
• Diploma in Heavy Plant Maintenance or Trade Equivalent
• Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Pumps as well as Conveyor Belts
• Process Plant Operations, Respective Mills, Crusher
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with defensive driving skills
• All work & safety related Standard Operating

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-5 Years Post qualified experience in Fixed Plant/ Equipment Repair & Maintenance

Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programmes in the community and the most vulnerable. Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs. Its recently opened Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
In order to strengthen the Maintenance Department, we are looking for a multi-skilled Mason who can provide masonry services and assist in other maintanance services at CCBRT.

Your role
As Mason at CCBRT, your role includes fabricating, altering, repairing, and maintaining walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces. You determine work requirements and sequence of masonry assignments through review of work orders, plans, or drawings. You prepare surfaces prior to you start your work, you lay out work using chalk lines, and levels; You lay blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings; You conduct your work as per standards and operate equipment accordingly.
Furthermore you will participate in the incinerator duties conducted by the maintenance team in shift work and assist with other activities of the maintenance team.


Your qualifications and work experience

Tanzania National Road Agency (TANROADS) is an Agency under the Ministry of Works and Transport which is responsible for the Development and Maintenance of Trunk and Regional Roads Network together with Airports in Tanzania Mainland. It is also responsible for conducting Axle Load Control Operations using Weighbridge Scales.

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) – Singida for and on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania entered into a Contract for the Upgrading of Makongorosi – Rungwa – Itigi – Mkiwa (413km) to Bitumen Standard; Lot 7(A): Noranga – Itigi (Mlongoji) Section (25km).

To facilitate execution of this project and strengthening of its capacity of discharging its functions effectively, the Regional Manager – TANROADS Singida seeks to recruit qualified and competent Tanzanian citizens to fill various vacant posts on contracts bases within the Region including weighbridge staff.
Apart from professional qualifications requirements outlined in the positions, candidates to compete for the positions must be trustworthy, responsible, reliable, accountable and with degree of integrity.

Position tittle: materials technician (1 post)
He/she shall inspect and measure materials to ensure they meet structural requirements; He/ She shall carry out in-situ testing and take samples; He/She shall Maintain laboratory apparatus and equipment; He/ She shall collect and prepare samples for laboratory tests; He/ She shall undertake laboratory tests and monitor tests results and trends and performing other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

The Materials Technician shall be a holder of Bachelor degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering. He/she must have at least three (3) years of cumulative experience related to materials testing. He/she must have served as a Materials Technician on at least two (2) projects of similar magnitude and complexity within the last 6 years. Knowledge in computer applications and fluency in written and spoken English are mandatory; and Age limit is not above 40 years.
